What Happens After You Drop It Off
Every item is sorted, not just hauled away. When you book, you tell us the item’s condition: good condition (clean, functional — eligible for donation), recyclable materials (mostly metal, wood, or other recyclable components), or not usable (goes to standard disposal). Good-condition items are routed to local donation partners, and recyclable materials are processed accordingly — keeping as much out of the landfill as possible.

What’s the difference between DIY and Outside-Door drop-off?
DIY is our most affordable option — carry your item to the Drop Zone yourself, enter your access code, and place it inside. Outside-Door is the step up: leave your item just outside your unit door and our crew picks it up and moves it to the zone for you — no lifting, no trip to the zone required.
Do I need to be home during the pickup?
No — just place your item outside your door as instructed during your window. Full-Service is the only option that requires someone to be home.
How will I know when the crew is on the way?
You’ll get a text about 30 minutes before our crew arrives, so you know when to have your item ready outside your door.
What if my item isn’t outside my door when the crew arrives?
A non-refundable $20 fee applies to cover the missed trip if your item isn’t outside your door when our crew arrives during your window.
Are you insured?
Yes. Bulky Drop maintains commercial general liability insurance. If something is damaged during a pickup, report it within 48 hours and we’ll investigate — see our
Damage and Incident Policy for how that works.
What if I’m not sure which drop-off option is right for me?
If you can easily carry the item to the zone yourself, DIY is the most affordable choice. If you’d rather not make the trip, Outside-Door lets you leave it at your door. If the item is heavy, awkward, or somewhere hard to move, Full-Service is built for that — our crew handles it start to finish.
How is Outside-Door pricing determined?
Outside-Door starts at $45 — priced between DIY and Full-Service based on the labor involved. The price you see when you book is exactly what you pay, plus a $4.50 service fee on every booking. That fee isn’t refunded if you cancel, but it is refunded in full if we cancel or can’t complete your pickup.
What are the pickup window hours?
Outside-Door gets a scheduled pickup window when you book, with a text heads-up about 30 minutes before our crew arrives.
